Terms
How an engagement starts, what it costs, what happens if plans change, and who owns what afterwards. Our standing terms for booking talent and for Sable Signal Studio.
These are the standing terms for working with Sable Signal. They describe how an engagement starts, what it costs, what happens if plans change, and who owns what afterwards. Where a signed agreement or a written booking confirmation says something different, that document wins.
Effective July 2026.
Who these terms are for
These terms apply to clients — anyone booking talent or event staff through Sable Signal, or engaging Sable Signal Studio for marketing work. They are not the agreement between us and the people on our roster: talent and booking agents sign their own representation agreements, and those cover commission, exclusivity and conduct.
Your agreement under these terms is with Lawthentics Limited, trading as Sable Signal.
Nothing here replaces a signed agreement. It sets the baseline for the things that are true on every engagement.
How an engagement starts
A quote is not a booking. Work is confirmed when we issue a written booking confirmation — or, for Studio work, a written proposal you approve — and not before. Nobody arrives on a verbal, and you are never invoiced for something you did not approve in writing.
Every quote is itemized. Rate, agency fee, overtime, travel and any required certifications are listed separately rather than rolled into one number. What you approve is what you are invoiced. If the scope changes mid-engagement, we will price the change and get your approval before it happens.
Fees and payment
Invoices are due on the terms stated on the booking confirmation or proposal. Talent and staff are paid for the hours confirmed, including any overtime authorised on site by you or your named lead. Third-party costs we advance on your behalf — parking, permits, specialist equipment — are passed through at cost and itemized.
Advertising budget is paid by you directly to the platform. We do not take a percentage of ad spend, and we do not hold your media budget. Our fee for managing paid social is a flat monthly amount, stated in your proposal.
Published package prices are listed on the Studio pricing page. Talent rates vary by role, usage and market, and are quoted per engagement.
Cancellation and rescheduling
For talent and event-staff bookings, measured against the first confirmed call time:
- More than 48 hours out — no fee. Any deposit is returned or credited.
- Between 24 and 48 hours — half of the confirmed fee is due.
- Within 24 hours — the full confirmed fee is due.
These exist because the people booked have turned down other work to hold your date. A reschedule agreed more than 48 hours out carries no fee; inside that window we will always try to move the booking rather than charge for it, but we cannot promise the same roster.
If we cannot supply confirmed talent for any reason, we will source a replacement of comparable suitability at no additional cost, or refund that portion of the fee in full. That is our problem to solve, not yours.
Studio engagements: social media management begins on an initial three-month term and then runs month to month. Website care plans may be cancelled at any time. Content days and websites are quoted per project. Nothing is held hostage — see What stays yours below.
On site
Talent and event staff work under the licence and supervision of the venue, the supplier or the client — for example, staff serving alcohol work under the venue’s or the licensee’s permit, and hold the certifications required in the jurisdiction. Where a role requires a Nevada TAM card, we confirm it before load-in.
You agree to provide a safe working environment, a named on-site contact, and accurate call details in advance: call time, location, duties, attire and expected finish. If duties on the day differ materially from the brief, our people may decline them and we will resolve it with you rather than on the floor.
Our safety code applies on every engagement and is not negotiable: no auditions, castings or bookings in hotel rooms or private residences; all bookings run through official channels; and we never book escort, companionship or adult-content work. Our roster is 18+ only.
Photography, content and usage
Unless your booking confirmation says otherwise, content captured at an engagement featuring booked talent may be used by you for organic social and internal recap purposes, for twelve months, in North America. Paid media, out-of-home, packaging, endorsement or any use implying a talent’s endorsement of a product requires a separate usage buyout, agreed in writing and priced per engagement.
Everyone appearing in content we produce signs a release with written usage terms. Photographs of your own clients or customers are published only where you have consent on file — you confirm you hold it, and we will not publish without it.
What stays yours
For Studio engagements: your accounts, your domain, your photographs and your reviews remain yours throughout and after the engagement. We do not hold your logins hostage, we do not register your domain in our name, and if you leave we hand over access rather than making you rebuild.
Work we create for you is yours on payment. Our own tooling, templates and internal processes remain ours.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee search rankings, follower counts, engagement rates, revenue or bookings, and we do not forecast them. Anyone in this industry who does is selling something they cannot deliver. We report what actually happened and change what is not working.
Being represented by Sable Signal is never a guarantee of bookings, and we charge talent no upfront fees, ever.
Marketing work for regulated businesses carries a further limit: for medical and clinical settings, claims stay conservative, before-and-after imagery is published only with written consent, and your medical director and state board have the final say on anything we publish on your behalf.
Confidentiality
We treat your briefs, guest lists, budgets and unpublished plans as confidential, and we expect the same for rates and roster information we share with you. Personal information is handled as described in our privacy policy.
Liability
We carry the insurance appropriate to the work we do and will provide a certificate on request. Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, and the courts of Washoe County, Nevada have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before anything formal, we would much rather you called us.
Changes, and how to reach us
We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and the terms in force when your engagement was confirmed are the ones that apply to it.
