Sable Signal Studio

Content Days

A photographer, a face from our own roster and a shot list in your space — a month of real content in an afternoon, from $950.

This is the piece no other marketing company can hand you, and it is the reason a Sable Signal feed does not look like a template. We are a talent and model agency first. The faces are already ours.

How a content day runs

We arrive with a photographer, creative direction and a model or creator cast off our own board — someone you approved before the day was booked. We shoot your work, on your chairs, in your light: the service in progress, the hands, the product, the finish, the room. You keep working around us on a half day; most studios do not close.

You get back 40 to 60 edited photos from a half day, 100 or more from a full day, plus short-form clips cut for reels and TikTok. Everything is organized by service so that a year from now you can still find the balayage set without scrolling through a thousand files.

The release is the point

Every face we bring signs a model release with written usage terms before the shutter goes. That covers your social, your website, your menus, your print and your local ads, in perpetuity. It is the paperwork a photographer usually leaves you to sort out and a marketing agency usually does not think about at all — and it is why your images can never come back to bite you.

If you would rather shoot your own regulars, we do that too, with written consent captured for each of them. Some studios prefer the familiar faces; others prefer a booked model so nobody has to sit for three hours. Plenty of days are both.

Before and afters, done properly

Same light, same angle, same lens, same distance — otherwise it is not a before and after, it is a lighting trick, and people can tell. For med spas and aesthetics clinics we capture written consent per set, keep the claims conservative, and never publish a result we cannot attribute to the treatment shown.

Openings and launches

A launch day is a bigger version of the same thing: concepting first, up to four faces styled to your brand, video-first coverage, a sixty-second brand film and stills sized for print and out-of-home. If you want hosts or ambassadors on the night itself, that comes from our events division on the same invoice.

The call sheet

Six hours, hour by hour.

A content day is the one thing here you have to give up a morning for, so here is exactly where that morning goes. This is a Full Day — $1,750.

  1. 8:00 We arrive and light the space Our own lighting comes with us. Your fluorescents are not the look, and window light moves all day.
  2. 8:30 Hair, makeup and the first look The face from our board is in the chair while you finish setting the floor. Nobody is waiting on anybody.
  3. 9:30 Service shots, on your chairs The actual work — hands, tools, product, the station. This is the bulk of the day and most of the library.
  4. 11:30 Before-and-afters, done properly Same light, same angle, same lens, marked so the pair is provable. Consent signed for each set.
  5. 13:00 Detail and product close-ups Retail shelf, colour swatches, texture, the reception desk. The shots that carry menus and stories all quarter.
  6. 14:00 Short-form video blocks Shot last, once everyone has loosened up. Vertical, captioned, cut for the platforms you actually run.
  7. +7 days The library lands Edited, organized by service and tagged, in a gallery you download from — with the signed release and written usage terms attached.

Half days run the same order in three hours, ending after the close-ups. Launch days start earlier and add concepting, styling and a brand film.

Good to know

Good to know.

What do I need to do to prepare?

Clean the space, clear the chairs you want in frame, and pick your best three services. We send a one-page prep sheet a week out — lighting, wardrobe, product placement and what to have ready. That is the whole ask.

Do you close the salon for this?

Rarely. Most half days shoot around a normal schedule, or in the first hours before opening. Launch days are the exception — those want the floor to ourselves.

Can I use the photos for anything?

Yes, within the usage terms on the release — which for standard content days covers your own social, website, menus, print and local ads, in perpetuity. Paid campaigns beyond that, or licensing to a brand partner, get quoted separately so the talent is paid correctly.

So who actually owns the photos?

You do. Every image from your content day is yours to keep and use within the release terms, in your name — not licensed to you, and not held on our servers as leverage. If we ever part ways you walk out with the whole library. What we hold is the model release, because that is the paperwork that makes the images safe for you to publish.

What if I want a specific look?

Send us the reference. We cast from our own board against it, and you approve the face before the day is booked — no surprises walking through the door.

How fast do I get the files?

Five business days for a half day, seven for a full day, delivered in a gallery you can download from and organized by service so you can find things a year from now.

Tell us about your chair.

One walk-through, one itemized plan. We answer within one business day, and there is no charge to find out what this would cost you.

Rates are base pricing; final pricing depends on scope and number of locations. We do not sell follower counts and we do not promise revenue.
